Exhibition Introduction

Arab Health consists of three small industry exhibitions-medical equipment exhibition, medical laboratory exhibition and medical conference.

The “Arab World Medical Equipment Expo” is the world's largest professional medical expo in the Middle East, with the largest exhibition planning, complete exhibit categories, and the most outstanding exhibition functions. Since it was first held in 1975, the exhibition plan, the number of exhibitors and the number of visitors have expanded year by year, and it has always enjoyed a good reputation among hospitals and medical device agents in Middle East countries. The "Arab International Medical Equipment Exhibition" attracted nearly 5,000 exhibitors from more than 100 countries, including almost fifty national pavilions. This exhibition attracted doctors and hospital managers, medical equipment and instruments distributors from various countries in the Middle East to visit and purchase or business negotiation. The number of visitors to the exhibition reached about 100,000. Among them, Siemens, Philips, Toshiba, GM, Kodak, Johnson & Johnson, STORZ, 3M and other world-leading medical equipment and instruments companies all regularly participate in this exhibition. The exhibition occupied nine halls of the Dubai World Trade Center, and even the corridors were lined up with booths. The scene was extremely hot.

The United Arab Emirates is a rich oil exporter in the Middle East, with its per capita GDP reached $ 30,000. However, the economic structure is relatively simple, and it is more dependent on the import of goods, especially medical equipment and instruments, which almost all rely on the import of foreign products. In addition,the government of Dubai pursues a free trade policy. The Dubai government does not interfere, restrict or protect import and export trade activities, and allows free import, export, and re-export trade of goods. The Dubai government has no restrictions on foreign exchange receipts and payments, which can also be freely converted and circulated in Dubai. The Tax rates in Dubai for re-export trade is only 1%, goods re-exported to other countries or regions within 6 months can also be exempt from tax.

Dubai is the largest trade center in the Middle East and a distribution center for re-exported goods. It is also advantageous in geographical position and has a wide market coverage. Therefore, it is called "the world's largest free zone" and is known as "Hong Kong of the Middle East".
